Insulation materials

mineral fibre insulation - glass or rockwool fibre insulation
Phenolic foam - a zero opd foam
class 'O' nitrile rubber
calcium silicate - for high temperature pipework
PIR foam board

Insulation finishes

Class 'O' reinforced foil - an economic finish for all applications offering a vapour barrier
Isogenopak sheet - where pipework is on show and needs a discrete and clean look
Aluminium cladding - for pipework, ductwork and vessels where mechanical protection is required, usually at low levels or in plantrooms etc.
Polyisobutelyne (PIB) - for external use, providing a weatherproof finish
Ventureclad - offering weatherproofing to external pipework and ductwork
Canvass scrim with or without ET10 paint - an old spec but still used occasionally
